Mathematics Dissertation Project

Some students will neglect the selection of a mathematics dissertation topic. Obviously not so many people are eager to write a dissertation what more of a math topic. Now if you are interested to tackle researches about this math topic, then you should at least know the technical aspects of writing a dissertation.

Actually there is no real preparation in writing a mathematics dissertation. This is because you have the option to write for any subjects as long as you are passionate about it, interested wit it and knowledgeable about it. In this case, all you need to do is to learn what chapters are required for a regular dissertation paper.

What are the basic parts of a dissertation? I have been publishing many articles in this site telling you how to write a dissertation.   1. Abstract – short summary of the dissertation.
  2. Introduction – background of the study and the topic.
  3. Literature review – the synthesized summary of other research papers.
  4. Methodology – the chapter that explains methods used for researching of data.
  5. Data and Analysis – the chapter that presents numerical data.
  6. Results and Discussion – obviously you know what this part is.
  7. Conclusion – the last part of the paper that summarizes all the results of the research.
  8. You also need to add the cover page, table of contents and the bibliography page. This is applicable also for a digital dissertation.
