First, let us discuss the pagination and layout of the dissertation in MLA. When it comes to pagination, you cans imply write your last name on the upper right hand corner of the paper’s pages. Afterwards, you can put the corresponding page number beside your last name. When it comes to layout, the standard would be to have one-inch margins in both sides of the pages. Moreover, you can have double-spaced sentences in the parts of the dissertation.
Second, the in-text citation is probably the most significant aspect of citation. This will involve the integration of other documents’ contents into your own paper. This is simple. Just copy the whole context of the article in reference and then paste it into your work. Be careful because you need to put quotation marks in the said part. This will signify that you are directly quoting another person. Then, you need to put his last name and year of publication of his work in parenthesis. On the other hand, you may not need quotation marks if you will reference the author indirectly say for example you will use these phrases “according to XXX…” or “XXX said that…”
Lastly, MLA dissertation papers must also include a bibliography page. This is a section of the research paper where you will list all the entries of your cited reference materials. The list should follow the format of the MLA. Each entry must have the author’s name, the publication year, title of his work, city of publication and the publishing company. If you have more than one entry, you need to arrange them in alphabetical order. Each second line of each entry should have an indention at least by half an inch.
