In writing a business dissertation, it is absolutely imperative that you begin with a strong base. Unlike a literature review or a religion dissertation, a business dissertation must focus primarily on facts and information. You will have little leeway in terms of finessing the material you have to work with— that is, little room for conjecture and personal opinion. We live in a period of great economical turmoil, both domestic and international. The landscape of the stock, real estate, and informational markets changes drastically with each passing year, but the basic principles of business can still be applied to all of them.

If you are writing about US involvement in Iraq and its effect on the price of Kuwaiti oil internationally, you will not be able to present a fair perspective without looking at the history of Iraqi-Kuwait interactions, Kuwait-American interactions, and trends in non-Kuwait oil pricing over the past 30 years.
- Business models that don’t work. Discussing failed business models in contrast to a proposed business model allow for excellent evidence and the the opportunity to revise your own model.
When working with business dissertation topics, you must choose carefully in order to ensure a good outcome. It is not enough, however, simply to start with a great topic— rather, make sure you are prepared to do in-depth research that will allow you to present the most balanced, fair and accurate model for your work.
